Dr Ngaire Woods to co-host plenary session on the future of financial regulation
On Friday 6 March, Director of the Global Economic Governance Program Ngaire Woods will co-host with Ian Goldin of the James Martin 21st Century School and Colin Mayer of the Said Business School a plenary session entitled ‘The Future of Financial Regulation: What needs to be done and how? Current economic conditions pose complex and unprecedented challenges for global leaders that call for a global worldwide coordinated response. While the diagnosis of the crisis is becoming clearer, there remains an urgent need to understand and identify the appropriate national and global regulatory responses. A major meeting of Central Bank Governors, regulators and academics from around the world will culminate in a panel discussion open to the public.
